Fly Closer to the Sun

We all know the warning against flying too close to the sun, but we forget Icarus's second danger: flying too low. Drowning in the damp comfort of mediocrity is far more dangerous than risking failure. It’s time to stop playing it safe and aim higher.

Loss of the Father

Processing the loss of two foundational father figures brought less grief and more profound gratitude. Watching my own young children reminded me that the best way to honor the mentors who shaped my past is to bring that same dedication, joy, and presence into fatherhood today.
